39 Pounds Gone!

Kermit the frog had it right. "It isn't easy being green."  Or more so my saying is "It isn't easy having lymphedema of both legs."  Like I said in a earlier post I explained how hard it is to lose weight with having lymphedema.

Although I will admit walking is getting easier and easier each and every day.  That I'm even able to add stairs to my workout.  Which is a huge task just to begin with.  And days that I just don't feel like walking I push myself to walk.  Be it a reward of ice cream or just the satisfaction of accomplishing the mile.

I mentioned stairs.  Stairs are a huge task.  Before I was lucky if I could go up 10 steps without believing I needed the EMT's.  Yes most of it has to do with the weight around my stomach.  The other HUGE
problem is the lymphedema.  Like I said each leg is like carrying 16 lbs of water. *Although I think it maybe a bit less now*  Now I can do 10 flights of stairs.  Not all at once but I do know for a fact I can do at least 5 flights of stairs all at once.  Which is a huge improvement from just 10 steps.

I didn't think that I would be able to do any of this.  Although I have to admit having a loving husband and friends to encourage you along the way it makes things a bit easier.  Even ounces is an accomplishment with anyone who is over weight or trying to lose weight.

The most important thing to remember is not to become discouraged over gaining a few pounds.  Sometimes we forget that muscle weighs more than fat so at some point I know that is going to happen.  I'm in hopes not anytime soon since I'm just one pound away from losing 40 pounds.  I can't believe it.  40 pounds.   At the time I've lost the amount of weight "Meow the worlds fattest cat" R.I.P Meow.  To give you an idea of what that is. This was Meow.

WOW! Just taking a look at Meow I can't believe that I've lost as much weight as he weighed.  Sometimes seeing a picture of how much you've lost brings it into reality.  I have to say that I'm shocked at how much I've lost.  This entire time it's like  yeah I've lost 39 pounds. But now I'm going to say. I've lost 39 pounds that's the size of the worlds fattest cat.

With that said this picture is of me.  Of when I started and one that's about 3 weeks old.  Yeah I know I have to take an updated picture.  But it's a bit difficult when Bob is away on a business trip.  So for the time being I'll we will have to deal with the picture that's 3 weeks old.

I'm having trouble seeing the 39 pounds.  But the scale says that I've lost that amount. Maybe if I wear the same outfit Will see the difference.

Happy New Year 2020!!!!

Wow, I can not believe that it's 2020 last year just flew by. We've been seriously slacking in reading lately.  So I am in hopes w...
