We Love Pottery!

It's been almost a year since our very first pottery class.  I will admit the first class was a bit scary. I've never done anything like this before, although Bob had taken a class a long time ago (When the Earth was just forming) at summer camp.

As a lot of you already know we are a crafty couple. We enjoy doing craft things together.  Usually we always have a fun time working together.  Although some of the time, we do disagree on how things should be made/done.  The disagreements usually are on what colors should we underglaze ~ (paint that you use on clay before you fire).

A Pinch Pot Bird.  Pinch Pot ~ A ball of clay that you make an indent with your thumbs in the middle of the ball. Then you continue pushing your thumbs outwards pinching along the way. As you do this you can see a pot being made.

Dolphin Heart Ornaments. A friends daughter loves dolphins as much as I do.  Before I posted the picture I offered to sell it to her.  So the dolphin is off to New Hampshire.

A plate Bob made. The color is better in person.
